You’re Not Under Attack—You’re Resisting Your Own Next Level

Let’s get real: Some of what we call spiritual warfare is nothing more than our own fear of change.

For too long, many believers have been stuck in a cycle of fighting battles that Jesus already won. We’ve been conditioned to believe that every challenge, every delay, every ounce of resistance is the enemy attacking us. But what if I told you that a lot of what we call "spiritual warfare" is just a distraction? What if, instead of fighting, we started walking in the authority we already have?

The truth is that the enemy doesn’t have to fight people who refuse to move forward. His greatest weapon isn’t always a direct attack. It’s deception.

If he can convince you that your discomfort is a sign to retreat, rather than an invitation to evolve, then he’s already won.

Here's a hard truth: Growth is uncomfortable. Elevation requires separation. And sometimes, what we call an "attack" is just us wrestling with leaving our comfort zone.

Jesus never told us to sit around fighting the devil all day. He told us to occupy (Luke 19:13). To take territory. To advance. The weapons of our warfare are mighty (2 Corinthians 10:4), but they’re not for fighting battles that have already been won. They’re for enforcing what God has already declared over us.

When you finally decide to let go of fear, excuses, and old mindsets, the chains that once held you lose their power. The moment you stop praying for the doors to open and start walking boldly through them, the so-called “warfare” starts to look more like momentum.

Are You Fighting or Are You Delaying?

Many of us have been tricked into believing that we are “waiting on God” when in reality, He’s been waiting on us. We cry out for breakthrough while ignoring the very instructions that would lead us to it.

• Moses stood in front of the Red Sea crying out to God, and what did God say? Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to move forward! (Exodus 14:15)
• The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years not because of warfare, but because of unbelief (Hebrews 3:19).
• Gideon was hiding in fear, calling himself weak, while heaven already called him a mighty warrior (Judges 6:12).

You HAVE TO understand this, the greatest battle you will ever fight is not against demons. It’s against the limitations in your own mind. It’s the battle between faith and fear, obedience and hesitation, old mindsets and new revelation.

From Warfare to Walking in Authority

Personally, I refuse to live my life in constant battle mode any longer. I am not a soldier stuck in endless war. I am a king enforcing the victory of Christ. And kings don’t beg for what’s already theirs; they issue decrees and expect results.

Jesus said in Luke 10:19, Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. That means we are not under attack; we are in authority. We don’t need to plead. We need to execute.

If we truly believed that we are seated in heavenly places with Christ (Ephesians 2:6), we wouldn’t be constantly crying out for help. We would rise up and govern from the position He has already given us.

The Bible Says It’s a Decision, Not a Battle

• “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life.” – Deuteronomy 30:19
  → Your next level is not a battle. It’s a choice.

• “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it?” – Isaiah 43:18-19
  → God is doing something new, but are you still holding onto the past?

• “Faith without works is dead.” – James 2:26
  → You can pray all day, but if you won’t move, nothing changes.

The Power of Decision

Yes, I know what it’s like to feel stuck in a cycle of delay. I know what it’s like to battle thoughts that tell you, “Maybe now isn’t the right time,” or “What if I fail?” But I also know this—your destiny is on the other side of a decision.

• The moment the prodigal son decided to return home, the father RAN to meet him (Luke 15:20).
• The moment the woman with the issue of blood decided to push through the crowd, she was healed (Mark 5:25-34).
• The moment blind Bartimaeus decided he wasn’t staying blind another day, Jesus stopped everything for him (Mark 10:46-52).

Breakthrough didn’t come when they prayed harder. It came when they decided to move.

The Decision that Breaks the Cycle

Most people stay stuck not because they lack anointing, calling, or opportunity, but because they refuse to decide.

• Decide to stop blaming the enemy for what requires your obedience. 
• Decide that fear will not dictate your movement.
• Decide that your future matters more than your comfort.

Heaven moves at the speed of decision.

10 Decrees & Declarations for Breaking Free and Moving Up

1. I am not under attack. I am in authority.
2. I move forward boldly, knowing that God has already made the way.
3. I refuse to fight battles that Jesus already won.
4. I take dominion over my thoughts and align them with God’s truth.
5. I break agreement with fear, doubt, and delay.
6. I declare that my steps are ordered, and I will not hesitate.
7. I am seated in heavenly places, governing from victory, not struggling for it. I am a KING, not a victim.
8. The enemy has no power over me. I operate in the full power of Christ.
9. I choose faith over fear, obedience over excuses, and movement over stagnation.
10. I decree supernatural acceleration. What took years will now take months, and what took months will now take days.

The shift happens when you decide. The enemy cannot stop a made-up mind. This is your moment to stop fighting and start walking in your rightful place.

• Where have you been waiting on God when He’s been waiting on you?
